The Annual Fund is a fund of unrestricted gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, board members, and friends of Concordia Preparatory School that is used to defray the costs of a Concordia Preparatory School education that tuition revenue alone does not cover. Those gifts allow leadership to address high priority needs, respond to unforeseen situations, and invest in high potential areas for institutional advancement. The initiative also reflects the spirit of generosity and willingness to give of oneself that is a hallmark of Concordia Preparatory School.

Philanthropy is an essential part of our communal life together. Every Independent school has a gap between operating expenses and tuition income. The Annual Fund helps us to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educationg our students. All students, past and present, have received the benefit of gifts to the Annual Fund. After tuition the largest source of yearly income is the Annual Fund, making it vital to the School’s financial health.

Each fall, we embark on a new Annual Fund drive. We ask that you prayerfully consider making a gift to the Annual Fund. When we seek grants from third party funding sources such as private philanthropic foundations, they routinely ask for participation rates in the Annual Fund by parents, alumni, staff, and board members. Third party grants are often predicated on robust participation in the Annual Fund. Therefore, we seek to have 100% participation by current parents, faculty/staff, and board members.
