Baltimore Choral Arts Society Presents: Handel’s Dixit Dominus on Saturday, October 28
Upper School Principal Mrs. Ruth Heilman and alumna Ellen Rach Clayton ’71 will be performing with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society on Saturday, October 28 at 8 pm at Goucher’s Kraushaar Auditorium.
The program includes works by Bach, Haydn, and Randall Thompson.The concert will conclude with Handel’s Dixit Dominus
Mrs. Heilman started singing with BCAS in 2014. She is a member of the Chamber, Full, and Symphonic Choruses, singing Alto I. In addition to the BCA subscription concerts, like the one on October 28, she also performs with the Baltimore Symphony, the Annapolis Symphony, the Naval Academy, and others. She also accompanies the choir at her church, Emmanuel Lutheran, and plays organ and flute.

Mrs. Ruth Heilman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Parish Music from Concordia University, Chicago in 1985. She earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Special Education in 1997, from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She has served as a teacher, school administrator, organist, and choir director in Lutheran schools and churches in the Baltimore area, and is the Upper School Principal and Director of Student Resources at Concordia Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland.
