Weekly Blog Post from Middle School Principal Mr. Curtis Miller
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8
A community is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. We all have several communities of support in our lives that are crucial to us as people. Communities band together when things get tough providing each other support towards a better life. Communities help others who are struggling or in need. As human beings, we are designed to support, collaborate, and challenge each other to be who God has created us to be and to become the best version of ourselves. The communities we are members of will have a big impact on our lives now and in the future.
In the founding of this great school over 50 years ago and up to this school year, building a community is a very important aspect and recognized as one of the core values of Concordia Preparatory School. We are a community of believers challenging each other to grow physically, socially, emotionally, academically, athletically, in fine arts, and most importantly spiritually to become future leaders in our communities. The middle school students have enjoyed numerous opportunities outside our curriculum to grow as a community through retreat day, monster mini golf fun night, and field trips focused on education, leadership, and team building. As God continues to bless Concordia Prep and its students, our communities will grow stronger, leaders will be developed here, and God will be given the glory.
